Question Backing Up Backed Upped Discs????

    Greetings Everyone,
Just tried to back up a Backed Upped discs. Did everything as before with a normal Wii disc, used ImgBurn at both x1 and x4 but the Wii can't read them. Oh and I used Rawdump 2.1 to back up the discs. Is there any magic trick which allows you to copy a copied disk???. And the DVD I use are Verbatim DVD-R just incase your wondering.

    Cheers Doddsie

If your backups work just copy them 1:1 w imgburn. I've tried it and it works

Just like you would put an original CD in and copy it exactly to another blank cd, you can also do that with backed up games. Just put your back up in, select copy disc in imgburn, and after it has read your back up, put the blank dvd-r in when prompted.

So basically you are telling that I have to use Imgburn to both read and write the disc's. The ISO files that I have already dumped on my PC with RawDump are useless, an I can't write them to a disc at all???.

I thought you had a backed up disc that works already and wanted to make a second copy of it? That's what my advice was pertaining to. As far as the iso files on your pc, I'm not sure why they wouldn't work if they worked once.

    Sorry Junkmail,

Got the backed up discs from a friend with Wii discs and copied everything to my PC using the RawDump. I did try some of the backed Wii disc and the worked fine with the Wii, it was only today after creating the ISO files that I found out than none of the DVD's from backed up disc's work on the Wii. I was hoping that there could be a little trick in getting the ISO from backed up disc's to work. I have not got a clue why they're not working as I have done everything the same with both sets of disc's. I was hoping that it was a commen fault and it could be fixed. Is there anyway that somebody has done something to the backed up disc's to stop them being copied???.

I'll ask the lad again tomorrow for the disc's back and do a 1-1 copy using just ImgBurn and see how I get on. Had a feeling in the back of my head it would be too good to be true!!!!.

Thanks for your help all the same Junkmail

Just a quick reply, managed to back up a copied game from my mate. Did as told and read the disc using ImgBurn using the x1-x1 settings, worked really well and the Wii was able to see the game.

Thanks for all your help lads
    All the best Doddsie
