burning rented games

is it safe to burn/backup rented wii games? sorry if it's been answered before. If it has, can someone please point me in the right direction? If not, can some please expain the process? Will the original game be harmed in any way?

Can I just create an ISO of the original and burn it using alcohol 120?

thanks for any help.

yes it is if you have a DVD drive that can read the wii disks. Look for the thread concerning the DVD drives i think its stickied.
Theres a tool to rip the disc and i think it comes in a .wii format which can then be converted into iso by using another tool.

awesome, thanks. So worst case scenario I will have to download the torrents or whatever (that's a whole other can of worms, hehe) and burn them that way correct?

edit.....so from searching and reading, looks like any LG drive will work. I believe the one I have in my PC is already an LG, if not, guess I'm going shopping, hehe.

Theres another method using a Gecko or something, i havnt looked into it because i just download the games. theres only 4 confirmed LG drives that work and they are all IDE ones (not SATA). there may be more though.
