    Us Is this a correct conclusion?

    I've spent a couple days now researching how to download games. I have not yet found a site that I can download games in a efficient manner. So what I'm thinking of doing is getting a drive key for my wii. Downloading the program that let you dump the games. Then using a program to burn these games on a DVD and whoala! I know this requires having the original games to copy but wouldn't that be an easier way of getting games on a DVD? Or does the drivekey already come with a program to copy original game
    discs.
    Thanks in advance for any feedback And or help.

    ok well think about this....

    * 500gb External Drive
    * Get your self a gamefly account or blockbuster and rent away
    * Then when you get the games you can copy right to the hdd from the USB loader...
    * This is how i got 55% of my games (haha the blockbuster people never caught on when i was comming 2-3 times a day for a new game - - lol)

    * and tada you have a massive game collection

    lol

    Hello to the whole community! It's amazing how much info is here to ponder!
    EMUHACK... your post here sounds awfully tantalizing! But is it that easy? I thought from reading around for a little bit, that we would need some sort of softmod in order to use the external hard drives? Or is that the usb loader? I was going to go drivekey because it seems to be the easiest way to get started without softmodding. But the hdd sounds good, but I really dont want to get into the homebrew install and all of that.
    Also, if I just get games from Block buster or game fly, are they all going to be ntsc? I'm not worried about pal and the lack of drivekeys support if those 2 don't carry pal stuff.
    Thanks in advance. My first post.

    i would not hardmod (drivekey) i would just softmod and usb load and it is really that easy... all you have to do is follow the corresponding guide which i will explain later.... if you get a blockbuster account and you are in the usa they will NTSC and the nice thing about the usb loader and softmod you can play any region games with the correct settings...

    ***and welcome to the community natdiamond***

    let me know what you think and also post your wii info
    *sys menu ver (to see what guide you need)
    *serial number (to determine drive type)

    I'm at 4.2u and have not looked at the serial yet or searched to find info on the serial to find out what drive I may have. I have read through the sticky for soft modding a 4.2 and I know it can be done thanks to you guys, but I've also read some posts that suggest there may be some glitches in the future, or brick walls that come along with soft mods? This is my sons system and while I don't have many worries about my ability to follow instructions to get a successful soft mod, I don't want to have to worry about constant updates. I may be way off base here, but if soft modding is "do it once and it's done", I'm good with that, if it requires ongoing maintenance, it's not the road I want to go down. I've been down that road back in the satellite emulator days! It was fine when I was single, as a hobby, but not now. And again, PAL games at this point are irrelevant to me. I'll get the serial soon. Thanks for the reply.

    * There is a 75% chance the chipset is GC2-D2E and covered in black glue.
    * And there is also a 25% chance the chipset is GC2-D2E.

    → More detailed computational data...

    The following data is used to calculate and estimate the drive chip:

    * LU6269XXXX GC2-D2E (1 entries)
    * LU6267XXXX GC2-D2E and covered in black glue (1 entries) Derv: 304995

    The fact that there are so many drive variations and versions made me feel it was safer just to install the drivekey. As your post states that its easier to soft mod I would like some help with my system.
    my serial number is LU55028230
    Version 4.OU
    Thanks again in advance. Also does the guide you are referring to also give names of downloads needed to copy and then burn the games on to a disk?
