Ever wonder why you can't get super mario galaxy to burn right?
Don't understand how to burn ssbb?
Wan't to know which types of dvd's are best for the wii to read?

WELL THAT'S WHAT THIS THREAD IS FOR!

Super Mario Galaxy is a game that can only be burned using Nero.

SSBB takes a somewhat long process in which you can find in the attachment to this post.

And the best discs that should be used for ssbb are verbatim dl 2.4x
or some people have claimed it to have worked on Memorex dl discs but verbatim is the best in my opinion.

When burning original games i like to use hp discs but again verbatim dl or 4.7 gig ones are best.

JUst one question and i know this has been repeated before:

Are hp discs good for burning originals because i heard that they work or is that a complete lie and it will ruin the laser.

I have a wii with d2pro9 rev 2. I burned ssbb and it works fine in my machine. My neighbor also has the d2pro9 rev 2. The same ssbb disc does not work in his machine. Message says cant read disc. I even updated firmware to 1.4. Every other game works, burned, or original. Any ideas?

media and burn speeds, just because it work on your machine dosent mean it will work another because the wii is very picky

hmm.. it either could be the modchip loose and if he has a d2c wii then that's your problem.

Or it could be the media try burning at lowest speed possible, and if that doesn't work try memorex ones. As you can see in the attachment different types of media work on different types of wiis because memorex worked best on that guy but verbatim was proven to work too.

I think he has d2c. I think, or thought mine was as well. When I typed in the serial # it suggested d2c. I bought mine in jan, or feb 08. He bought his before mine. Nov, or Dec, 07

may i make some suggestions?

1rst choice, buy him a d2ckey if you are so sure he has a d2c wii. Plus it needs no updates that you need to worry about.

2nd choice, get a refund on the one you bought, and buy it from GMODZ, they make sure that all of them are up to 2.1 firmware and spi 1.5 so it is guarenteed it will work on your d2c. It is the one presoldered to a wii-clip.

Saying Super Mario Galaxy can only be burned using Nero is a somewhat inaccurate statement. I have burned Mario Galaxy on Verbatim -R, TDK -R and Vebatim LightScribe +R using ImgBurn at 6x and all have worked perfectly.

As far as SSBB I used Verbatim DL +R with ImgBurn at 6x using layer break and it worked perfectly on first try.

I think a lot of this has to do with the chip you are using as to what media and burn speeds are going to work best.

It is not presoldered. I paid someone to solder it in. I am not about to take it out and return it. Then, repay someone to solder a new one. I am just trying to figure out why ssbb works in my machine, and not his.
