Thumbs up How to back up my games?

Hi everyone. This seems a good informative website props to you guys. I am a newBe

Newbe to all these. I recently got a Wii with harddrive so I can backup my games. However I never tried to do anything like that before. Sorry if this is discussed somewhere please link it to me so I can read thru. I did the search I just can't seem to find it.

Do I have to load my original game in the Wii's drive and will it do it or have to conect the hard drive to the computer and do that way? Do I need any other softwares? The hard drive is set up with the wii and working but would love to put some new games on.

Also was wondering if I can download games and put it on the hard drive? What files are good? Is there a region type I have to download or doesn't matter?

    Thanks in advance

You guys rock. Appologies if these questions sounds stupid. Just thought ask before do crazy stuff.

I've come across two ways to do this:

    a) With your Wii.
    b) With Windows

I'll be assuming that you have cIOS installed and that you have and know what a WBFS partition is.

    a) Most USB loaders have an "Install Game" function. This allows the Wii to read Wii game discs and copy the content to your drive.

If you are using USB Loader GX, right next to the Setting buttion, you should see a plus sign. Select that, and install the game.
If you are using Configurable USB Loader/(Waninkinko's) USB Loader, you could press the + button on your Wii remote.

    b) If you want to do this on Windows, you will need:
    DVD Drive
    ImgBurn
    WBFS Manager

Stick your Wii disc inside the DVD drive.
Start up ImgBurn. and select "Create image file from disc."
Save it somewhere that you will remember, and is at least 5GB (Most games would usually cost you 4.7 or 4.8 GB of free space).

You could stop here if you only wanted an ISO file.
Continue, if you want it to be played on USB loaders.

After creating the ISO file, start up WBFS Manager
On the top corner where it says Drive, select your WBFS drive.
On the bottom, click browse, and open the new ISO file.
    Then select add to drive.
