some games work. some games don't. help please thanks!
i'm new to the mod chipping so perhaps i'm just downloading the wrong games or something? i have a d2pro9 v2.0 installed onto my wii. some games work, others don't and i get either the unable to read disc message or the disc error message.
so far the games that have worked are:
1) mario kart
2) resident evil 4
3) super mario galaxy
the ones that i'm getting errors are:
1) mario party 8 (Mario Party 8 [PAL][Wii][MULTI5])
2) smash brothers brawl (WiiZARD release)
3) wwe smackdown vs. raw (WWE SmackDown vs RAW (2008) [PAL][WII][MULTi5])
4) need for speed pro street (PreCiSiON release)
all of these were burned on verbatim dvd+r (16x) .. and from searching i guess i should try burning them all at 4x or even 2x for the best results which i'll try.
the one that i can't seem to get to work all together is the smash brothers brawl. i've tried imgburn and using a layer break of 2084960 burned at 2x on tdk dvd+r dl but it still doesn't work.
furthermore, is it because majority of these are PAL versions and not USA versions?

Tough call. I don't think its the media you're using. Sometimes certain games work and others don't for inexplicable reasons. Perhaps try a different burner then report back? Other than that, I got nothing.

yes never burn games above 4x and dual layer 2.4x. The slower you burn the better its for the wii to read and its alot better for the laser.

well i'm still having trouble burning ssbb and mario party 8 ..
for ssbb .. the intro plays .. then it says the game disc is unreadable and that i should consult the manual.
as far as mario party 8 goes .. the whole wii system is unresponsive .. it's a black screen and the wii remotes turn off.

For ssbb when you get that message press the eject button on the wii and then put the disk back in after like 5 seconds the game should then play fine. But you will have to do this everytime when you want to play SSBB, i fixed it by burning it a 1x wasted like 4 Dl dvd to get it working right. As for MP8 i cant say much i have it aswell i have the pal scrubbed version and i burnt with 4x using a sony +RW and it worked later i reburned it to a verbatim -R and it still work, so all i can say is try a different is image.

Well what region is your wii from, that might be a problem unless you made it region free by attaching 2 jumpers to jp1 and jp2. Try doing that and it might change the outcome. And about super smash bros brawl. email the guy in this video and he tells u how to get it perfect everytime.
go to this link
Super mario galaxy can only be burned with NERO.
