raw dump error with major league baseball 2k8

I get about 1/3 to 1/2 way in with Major League Baseball 2K8 and I keep getting arithmetic overflow errors with raw dump. What could be causing this? Is there another program that I can use to dump it? Or is it because the disc is too scratched or something?

Well I'm attempting to solve my own problem. I think the disc is too scratched. F#%cking blockbuster renters. Its less profitable to buy the game brand new and return it for "undisclosed reasons"

rawdump can be pretty finicky. The only other dumping software I know of is friidump.

Whenever rawdump gives me an error, I usually try the following things:
1. Put the dvd drive on its side (I have an external drive). For some reason, this works sometimes.
2. Put the dvd drive upside down.
3. Clean the disc.

I've found that when the dump stops consistently at a certain point, it's usually because the disc is too scratched up.

It dumps anywhere from 1.4 to 1.5 GB of the disc and it causes the overflow error. But people who rent the discs from blockbuster mess it up like you wouldn't believe so I don't think I'm going to get these scratches out very well. I'll try the other dumping software and see if it happens there too.
