    Call of duty 3

I've played a few burnt dvd-r after my 3.4u softmod and upgrade to 4.1u.
Today when I try call of duty 3 it shows everything alright - movie, menu, weapon.. - until I try to start playing. It got stuck in a screen with "loading..." at the right bottom corner of the screen and my remote simply turned off. Wii Power/reset buttons won't work either.

Does this look like a bad dvd burnt? I used verbatim dvd-r 1X.
Or does it look like some other problem like ios?

    Reburn at 4X and retry.

Also maybe install the latest cIOS which i believe is rev15,

Then maybe try another backup launcher

If all else fails, Update to 4.2 and follow the 4.2 guide in my sig, that might help you

The only way I can get Call of Duty 3 to play is off a DVD-R via NeoGamma. I haven't been able to get it to run off a USB HD with Usblaoder GX or NeoGamma, but it does work off the disc through NeoGamma using the NTSC copy, don't know about PAL.

Yeah I think I must have done that and it works off the disc, but I still can't get it to run off a USB HD, via usbloader gx. Have you got it working off a hard drive?

Ok thanks, I got the NTSC version working off disc, but it is a bit blurry due to my TV, (it won't run if I force it to PAL), does the PAL version work off disc?

this is a copy/paste from another website about the issue

"Call of Duty 3 is a known issue with virtually all USB loaders. Even the ALT-dol method (which can fix some games like Super Swing Golf) does not work with CoD3, because it appears each mission is its own dol.

What does that imply? Well, it means that each mission reloads the IOS, which
results in USB support being dropped ... the equivalent of ejecting the disk occurs,
and the system bugs out. Simply blocking IOS Reload does not work, either, because
(and this is a pure guess) I'm thinking that between the disc DOL, the MAIN.DOL, and
each mission DOL, they use at least 2 different IOS files, so you can't completely
block the IOS reload because it needs to change IOS files to work. This paragraph,
of course, is just a guess."
