What does that imply? Well, it means that each mission reloads the IOS, which
results in USB support being dropped ... the equivalent of ejecting the disk occurs,
and the system bugs out. Simply blocking IOS Reload does not work, either, because
(and this is a pure guess) I'm thinking that between the disc DOL, the MAIN.DOL, and
each mission DOL, they use at least 2 different IOS files, so you can't completely
block the IOS reload because it needs to change IOS files to work. This paragraph,
of course, is just a guess."
Thanks for the detailed explanation/guess. It is members like you that make this place worth our time.

I switched to using USB HD since my DVD drive died a few months ago. I guess I will not be playing COD3 on the Wii anytime soon.

    COD 3 issue

I am trying to run COD 3 from DVD (since I read it doesn't load from USB).

    I have tried to run it using Neogamma (both R8 beta 15, R7), WiiGator (0.3, 0.3 247 ios, 0.3 beta, 0.1).

All loaders do the same thing.

COD starts, allows me to create/select profile, game player level, and when it launches, it just shows the 3 down in the right hand corner of the screen and the stars which normally progress underneath the 3 never shows up. It locks my Wii and I have to power off / on to gain control of my wii again.

All other DVD's work and I can boot other games from USB using ISO loader with no issues.

I burned the DVD using IMGburn, DVD-R media, 6x speed (since that is the minimum for the DVD-R discs). I have used this speed before and the burned DVD always works. The ISO I am using was rated as working for others.

download "iso patcher", drag the iso over the "isopatcher.exe" and it should load up so you can hange the ios to 249 and then burn the iso again and it should work

Thanks. I d/l isopatcher earlier both the W and the other. Wasn't sure that was what was needed till i read your response.

Did what you said and now am able to load call of duty.

Will I also be able to load it from USB now if I transfer it to my WSFB drive?
