DVD-R Shows in disk channel but will not load with backup launcher

I am new to this and I followed all the latest directions to soft mod my wii without any problems with this websites directions. I recently burned super mario brothers wii and it shows on the original disk channel but when I use the neogamma r8 b7 backup loader the screen just turns black after loading the disk. If I try to load with the disk channel it gives me an error and tells me to restart the wii which I think is normal because it is not an original game. Is it possible that since my wii is new that it won't play dvd-r. It had a 4.0U menu and I upgraded to 4.1U which was recommended. How can I figure out if it is one of the new wiis that nintendo fixed to not allow soft mod dvd-r to play. Am I doing something else wrong, it seems the game burned fine if disk channel is reading it. I would really greatly appreciate help because I am learning a lot and need some help.

Did you use the guides here on Wiihacks to mod your Wii?
If yes, then you may have the newer 3-2 drive. Try USB...
If no, Then Oh Well. it could be anything.

    Ca

there is a search for your serial number to see if you have it...just go to modchipcentral and they have a link to the site.If that does not work,I think you will have to open her up......just think of it as an adventure

Odds are if your brought your Wii after Sept. of 2009 it has the new drive.
The only way to find out is to open the Wii up..

Better yet, Add a USB-HDD and run your games on that.....
It is cheaper and easier. Then replacing the dvd drive....

Should the disk channel be able to read the games? I have burned to games and the disk channel reads both but the back up loader screen is black. What is the USB-HDD? Will the USB Loader GX & WBFS Manager 3 work with one of these new drives? I think I read somewhere that they will not.
