    Smile SDDVD Fails at 125Mb

    Hi All

I am fairly new to the Wii Scene and recently got my hands on a D2C with pre-installed wiiKey.
I have dumped several game images already both original and backups that came with the Wii.
I have been using SDDVD 01g through sdload from a 1.9s wiikey config disc.

Now it doesnt seem to matter how I load sddvd it fails EVERY time on both backup and original discs at exactly 125Mb. ie the display shows 120Mb and I get 5 Arrows, on the 6th arrow I get the there was a disc error. so I spose that technically its the 126thMB. Thw SD card also shows the file as being only 125Mb.

Any ideas would be extremely helpful as I am quite happy with the 1hr dump times on these discs (compared to the 2-5 using friidump or rawdump)
is there a newer version of sddvd that I can use?
    is my drive shagged?
should I reinstall the 1.9s firmware?
are there specific settings that I should set on the wiikey config before dumping?

    TIA

ok well then it must not be a D2C, because I can play backed up games.
I assumed it was because when I used GCOS on the config disc it says something something about the drive / D2C but I may be mistaken.

in any case any ideas on the 125Mb issue? As I sid I have done this several times already, making backups of MarioKart Wii and transformers that play perfectly.

    Thanks

So Further to the 125Mb issue it seems the drive is not spinning up and so the data is not bing read properly?

I managed to dump a single game after reflashing the 1.9s firmware then loading sddvd via sdload fom the 1.4 config disc. The drive spun up and I could hear it humming and feel it vibrating. trying to dump a second disc failed at the 125Mb mark again and no spin up.
    Is this a fault/problem with sddvd0.1g?

    Help would be appreciated.

    thanks

    Ok Finally Sorted it out.....

it seems that due to the way in which the wiikey works, when using sddvd on already copied games the drive does not spin up correctly and hence the 125/6Mb Failure. There is no Problem with original discs as this is what SDDVD is based on.

I stumbled on this post http://www.wiihacks.com/dumping-burn...lg-reader.html
Which basically says that if you recieve/borrow already backed up games then you can just image them as an .iso with your regular dvd drive on your PC or if your on a mac "CD/DVD Master" (.cdr) in disk utility works just as well, then you have a burnable image of your own.

    So dont re-dump your backups.

Pointers would have been appreciated that I was trying to dump unencrypted backups but I guess you have to ask the right questions.

Maybe this info can be added to the FAQ on burning/dumping games.

Hope this helps some noobs out there.

Now its off to image my other games.

    Ok ModderMan will do.

slightly off topic here but does anyone know where I can find the source code for wii scrubber 1.21? I found the windows exe on gbatemp but I would like to try my hand at porting it to mac.

    Thanks
