you need to burn a disc that sets the wii back to an old update. gbatemp forums explains it but you'll have to use the search function to find out how to do it

I still have not found an answer to this problem either. Seems to be with the newer games so I was thinking maybe I need to update as well but it seems like it is updated (is at 3.2). I have a handful of games that have done this and they are all for the correct region of my wii.

maybe I should put more info.....

I do have lots of games including zelda that work fine. I have the correct burner, tried different types of media (but usually my verbatims work). I have checked my FW and it says 3.2.I am also only using ones athat are from my region NTSC. I however have no idea which chip I have(assuming one of the oldest ones since I am sure my wii was bought when they first came out).

The games I have a problem with are mario kart, amusement park, guitar hero aerosmith. Same issue as indicated at the start of the thread. It appears to work but when I click start all goes dead and I must reboot.

I have also tried removing error 001 and have used brick blocker. I have spent hours reading about this and have found no real solution. The only thing I have seen is to let mario kart update but then I am thinking it will be at 3.3 which I have read is not a good idea. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP
