Duma,

When you say you "got a new version", do you mean a different version of Zelda? How do you tell it's a newer version? I'm having the same same problem...black screen after initial icon, running same chip, etc. Thanks.

I just simply downloaded a different torrent. I also used the verbatim disks that everyone raves about.

gentleman, let me give you my story.

i have wiikey 1.9x(s) updated 2 days ago...
have 3.3U update cause of retail SSBB (it didn't work initially)

so..i d/l couple games (Mario Strikers, Mario&Sonic olympics) to try, and it gave me those screens as well, but mainly because I had no-name DVD+R

I got some Sony DVD-R last night, and re-burned with ImgBurn at 4x, and works flawlessly

haven't tried the SSBB yet, but I hear it'll work without a problem as well.

so my advice is...
get great DVD-Rs and try again.
(or it's my wiikey...idk)

Thanks Hughness. Its funny, I was just getting ready to post another thread on this "Black Screen" issue. I did as suggested earlier, got another Zelda image and Verbatim disks. What do you know, it worked. But, before it worked, I had the same problem with Wii Sports (My boy trashed the free copy and I like golf). The PAL image (changed with wiu to ntsc with no update) did the same black screen thing (I tried Verbatim and Memorex disks) and no go. Are there any indicators as to when a disk may or may not work with a given image (NTSC or PAL)? I'm running a D2Pro V2 Wii Clip on a D2C2. I'm trying to avoid all this wasted downloading. Thanks to any replies.

As a follow up, I DLed another Wii Sports and several other games, burnt to Verbatim disks and all work. In other words, as Duma stated, it's the image and the disks.

Sorry to jump on this thread, but i am having the same problem,

Pal version 3.2e with dcpro the newest one,

some work and others, black screen,

Is it safe to update the wii through the wiiconnect

Ye man, it's safe, i got mine updated to v3.3E and D2Pro, u need that update if u wanna to play the newsted games

heres a tip whan download wads or stuff like that dont update your wii migth cause stuff not to work
