Tealc.... it's not that my chip is blocking updates, I remove them with Wui1.1 before I burn the disk. Just what I was taught............
Thanks for the link. Just going to rent a game now.

Not to take a small profit from your game rental place but couldn't you just download a game, burn it to disc and use it's update?

I seem to be having the same problem with a flatmod if I set my update in the config to my own region being Europe and use a disk to update will this cause any other problems being that I have the homebrew channel as well current firmware 3.4e

Stewieb - You should have no issues either. The latest game version is NSMB (Super Mario) and it comes with 4.1. When 4.1 came out it did delete the Homebrew Channel in it's old HAXX location but it is easily installed if you are running the old versions.

Yep. I rented NSMB and ran the update. everything works good now.
The only problem I'm having now is most of the ISOs I'm downloading... when opened with WUi.1 it says "not a valid Wii ISO" Not sure what's up with that. I think I'll just burn one and see what happens.

I usually use the Dolphin emulator to test the games prior to loading them to USB.
