Best burn speed?

Firstly, please don't say "gtfo search plz nub". I've looked around but have found different things. Some say 1x, some say 2x and others say 4x. I just wanted to know - what works best for you? I'm using USB Loader GX by the way. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: Using Verbatim 16x DVD-R.

If you use USB Loader GX then why do you require a burn speed?

I burn my GC ISOs at max speed simply because I couldn't care less and its up to the individual to choose how fast they wish to burn but apparently slower burn speeds give better results.

I heard that USB Loader GX now supports DVDs.

I'm broke right now so I can't get a USB hard drive but I found some spare DVD-Rs I had.

personally i burn at 2.4x with imgburn. i use cheap $20 walmart memorex -r. i'd say i get about 3 bad burns outta a pack of 50. thats mostly because i do other stuff while i'm burning or i bump or set this labtop down a lil to hard and it messes up on the spot.
