Small problem, looking for opinions

Here's the deal. I downloaded The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and burned the iso to a DVD+R at 1x burning rate with ImgBurn. All went well, loaded it with NeoGamma R7, all goes well. But, at this specific part of the game (exactly after Kakariko Village) when changing map from Kak. Village to Death Mountain the game stops and "The disc could not be read" message appears.

I thought that the disc was scratched, but I'm looking if there's any other possible thing that could make this problem. And I'm sure it's not anything from the softmoding, since I can run other games perfectly.

Just tell me what do you think.

Look at your post. One thing jumps out at me. "dvd+r". That right there is a no no. Unless you are changing the book type to dvd rom, your laser (eventhough it can read the disc) is working much much harder. You need to remember that not all drives are able to read +r media, but the ones that can, will make the laser work harder unless that drives is made to read it (like your computer drives). What I would do is either change the book type or get some dvd-r and give that a shot.

As the above poster stated use DVD-Rs preferably Verbatim as they seem to have the best compatability.

Cool, now I know this. I'll buy some DVD-R and I'll give it a shot.

Everyone always says Verbatim, but if you can't find those I suggest Memorex DVD-R's. That's what I use and I have never had a problem.

I think I saw someone post those Memorex as an alternative to Verbatim so try those also.
