hi all

i have a question regarding dvd-r write speeds. i know that the recommended setting in imgburn to burn backups is 4x (or slower), now heres my issue, i brought a spindle of 50 china made verbatim dvd-r's and when i go to write to them with imgburn the slowest compatible write speed is 6x, even if i select 4x or lower i still get 6x. my burner can write at 4x because i use 4x dvd-rw's for other things and ive tried burning a wii iso to an rw to test and that writes to it fine at 4x, (the game doesnt play but thats a media issue) so i wondered how people get there burners to burn this slow and how do i get mine to do it to help improve the quality of my burns?

i will download it later and try it, can that force a burn speed?

Yes It does, I haven't use it in a while but I remember the force option to 4x anywhere in the options
