    How do I back-up a Wii game?

    Hi All,

I want to back up Wii Sports, and I'm planning to buy other original games and back them up.
I have an LG GSA-4163B DVD drive.

I read that I can backup games using RawDump, but it only works on certain drives.
Will it work for me? Is there any other software I can use to create a DVD backup of my games?

    Thanks,
    Zed.

    Smile Hope this helps

Start Rawdump 2.0 with original Wii disc in LG drive.
select the left option - I think its get raw data.
    the disc will read in.
When finished select the right option - convert raw to iso.

when this is done use Imgburn or Alcohol 120 or Nero and burn the image.

This should then give you a perfect backup of your original.

    Can I or Can't I

Your Wii must be modded to play a back up disc.

For older models a Wii Key and for all newer models a D2CKey chip.

I bought a Wii from Argos 2 weeks ago and had the D2CKey chip fitted and it works fantastic.

I use Nero to backup a copy of a copy, and I also use Wii Brick Blocker to remove updates from the disc.

I use an LG 8164B drive with rawdump 2.0 and nero to backup an original and again Wii Brick Blocker to remove updates.

So far NO problems with anything at all!!!!

Very few people fitting D2CKey chip as it has 28 soldering points on a very small chip.

I have a contact if any one is desperate. PM me for details

    Mortis needs help

Hi, i'm new to this. i've burnt a few backups at 6x using nero and they work fine, but i have come across a few backups that load in the wii menu but when you push start the screen turns black and it stays that way. the only option is to turn the wii off and on again. why does this happen and can i fix this?

More than likely it's down to bad media or an error when creating the image.

It has happened to me once or twice, but when I burn it again its normally fine.

    Wii site

    Try this site,

    http://v3.newzbin.com/

you must make a small donation of about 25p (UK pence) and this allows you a months access.

To download you must use a newsreader (newsbin or newsrover etc)

click on consoles and then wii - and now you should find any Wii game ever made!!

    Enjoy
