Question Trouble unraring scrubbed Wii ISO RAR-files

Hi everyone. I just chipped my wii with Wiikey v2 w/ Wii-clip and I'm more than eager to get my Wii ISOs burned. However, I've come across these "scrubbed" Wii ISOs that come , but when I've downloaded them in 40ish 6kb-sized RAR-files, they will not unrar by the usual "extract file nr.01"-method using WinRAR. An error message pops up, saying "No archives found", while in the diagnostic message it says "rhe archive is either in unknown format or damaged". Do I need a special program to unrar them, or what?

In addition, I've heard you must "fill" the ISO with "junk data" before you burn them, but how do I do that? Anyways, first things first, the problem is that I can't unrar these Scrubbed ISO RAR-files. All informed suggestions are kindly appreciated.

I use WinRar 3.80, there is 3.90 also. I don't do anything special for scrubbed games. (most of mine are). When its unpacked it creates a full size ISO.

Thank you for your reply. The WinRAR I'm using might be outdated for all I know, actually I think the one I've been using all these years hasn't been updated, so I'll try that.

I tried to unrar the ISO with the latest WinRAR 3.90, but I get the same error messages and it won't unrar the files. I've tried several scrubbed ISO-files so I doubt all the files are corrupted, and the WinRAR is obviously not outdated. Any other suggestions as to what might be the cause and what I can do about it?

So what you are saying: you download a wii iso file but you cant unrar it to burn it on a dvd? If yes you dont even need to unrar it you can just download imgburn > open it > click on 'write image file to disc' > above in the screen that appears you need to browse your iso file (thats the rar file you are talking about) > the destination is the dvd you placed in > put your write speed 2x (otherwise you wii game wont work) > click on the big picture left-under:
    and wait!
tell me if it didn't work!

Did they come with an .sfv file?

Quote: SFV files are used to check the integrity of the rar files. If any one of them is either missing or corrupted, you won't be able to extract your game file.

Dstollie: Thanks for your help, but no, I know how to burn an ISO with imgburn and that's not the problem. The problem is that there exists many scrubbed Wii ISOs entailed in small RAR-files at no more than 5-6kb each, which you are supposed to be able to unrar the same way you unrar regularly sized RAR-files you download from torrents or (like I do) rapidshare/megaupload. When I try to unrar these files, I get an error message saying that "there is no archive" or "the file is damaged". I have tried both the latest version of WinRAR and 7zip. BTW,The trouble I've had with this does not only amount to scrubbed wii ISO RARs, I've had the same problems with all kinds of "scrubbed" small-sized RAR-files ( movies etc.) as well.

Favs: Thanks for your tip. When you mention it, I don't think any of the scrubbed ISO RAR-files came with any SFV-file. If it's necessary for the integrity of the files, how come no wii ISO RAR-files I've ever come across on rapidshare and megaupload-links contain it?

Sorry I can't add much else, I've looked at my game downloads, they have many files .r## and one .rar which I execute and it unpacks everything t one ISO.
Maybe someone else has an idea.

Not necessary but very helpful to have and the only way you'd have one is if the original uploader felt it would be necessary.
