    Noob in need of help

I'm new to the site so please bare with me.

    I have a soft-modded wii version 3.2.

I have the hbc-back up launcher version 0.3 and cios 249.

I can't get any iso to work it keeps saying error 342 and occasionally it will say remove the disc and restart your wii...

Games that are currently doing this is (rygar-punch out-no more heroes)

I even got wiiur and isopatcher and still no luck.

I read about the trucha bug and cios 38 rev14 but is this needed?

I burned with imgburn @2x with sony dvd-r and all three were succesful.

    thanks for any help provided.

As far as I can tell newer games like Punchout and Wii Sports Resort require IOS38 rev14 to work. They also require an updated backup loader.

If you follow this link there are extensive instructions on how to update... Looks like you wont need to start from the beginning though as you already have IOS249.

I think its your media... I think it said somewhere in the guide (i may be wrong... I just remember seeing it somewhere) that rev14 is very picky what media is used (bummer I know). I think it said you need verbatim-R or Ridtek-R. But ide look around first cuz I may be wrong

Also idk if you upgraded your backup loader... I know you need a newer release like neogamma6 or 7 i think its called... I use gamma 0.3 but I havent the need to upgrade to rev14 yet

    Same 1101 error here...

I've also tried the 13a cios with Neogamma 6 and got the 972 error.

If any figures this out don't forget to post your solution here.

I deleted everything and followed the step by step 3.1-4.1 soft mod tutorial.

I got neogamma7, all the cios, hbc, etc...

    I'm using sony dvd-r's and burned 10 succesful at 2x and 4x.

I still can't get the game to play it sounds like it wants to and it either gives an error 1101 or timeout.

Getting to the point where i may just buy a drivekey.

Found workaround with loading off usb...

ciosRev10, neogamma6, load from usb, works great so far, even with WSR.

    Good luck!
