    Question Backups won't play

i have used many different types of dvd-r and the game will go through everything until it starts to load for playing. the only one that i can get to work is harry potter and the half blood prince, also can only load that game in neo gramma and not through the disc channel so i was wondering what could be causing this problem.

Before anyone will help you, you need to give a little more info. Give a little information about your Wii, what loader you're trying to boot with, what discs you're using and how fast you burned them.

If you softmod your Wii, then use Neogamma to boot your discs. Use a good quality disc and burn at 4X.

Some games require certain IOS's to play them, check to see if you have them installed, IOS 38, 53, 55. Some games also need the 002 fix applied, and some older games require you to patch them to IOS249. You never said what the source of your backups is, sometimes you may get a bad download, 99% of my games are installed to HDD from the original and all work fine. If you burn your backups to disc, try not to multi task while the image is burning. When I burn a disc, I leave the computer alone while it's burning, make sure there are no CPU robbing processes running, make sure the screen saver and virus scanner don't start, stuff like that. And I make sure to verify the burn. In the long run, you're better off using Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden DVD-R. All ways burn at 4X.
