    Copying to HD

    Hi

    Just wonder what programs people use to copy games from DVD to USB loader?

    I know about the windows frontends to copy ISO images to a harddrive but I prefer to burn to DVD and then copying via the Wii to the HDD.

    Basically I have a backup in case of any problems. Plus there's the mess of removing wires and plugs all the time.

    While I use GX to play games it's very buggy when reading Wii DVD and copying to the HD - 50% of the time it freezes.

    I normally use SD/USB loader but then that only works 75% of the time without pausing. If I do it again it may work on the 2nd or 3rd time.

    Any recommended wii programs that work all the time?

    Thanks

    Rich

    I think you have IOS/CIOS problems;
    Possibly your Drive may need a clean;
    I also use GX Forwarder 1.0 latest revision on wii 3.2 and don't have any of those problems.

    The drive doesn't need a clean - it was blank and only just went inside the USB caddy a few hours ago. My older 40 Gig had the same problems with freezing.

    IOS I use rev 10 - works on the games I like. No idea about the CIOS I use. Version 4.0E.

    Suppose I could always buy another USB caddy for the wires and keep by my PC!

    If GX Loader freezes 50% of the time, it could be conflicting with your USB HD.

    And also, make sure you are using cIOS38rev13b, and ios249 setting

    If GX gives you trouble there are others available. Do a search for NeoGamma, as I don't have the direct link right now, and I use GX loader myself.

    Here is a little blurb on what you can do, read below:

    1.update your cIOS to "cIOS38 rev13b".
    2.Install "NeoGamma R4"
    3.Play older/existing Titles using Backup Launcher as before or with "NeoGamma R4".
    4.Play newer "002b" Titles using WiiPower's "NeoGamma R4" (setting "Anti-002 Fix" setting to "YES")

    Thats what Hippyfreak uses, which is a very reputable Wii Modder.

    Hope this helps.
