Problems with Burning ISO's to DVD-R

    Hey guys!

I am having problems burning Wii ISO to my DVDs. Every time I try to burn the disc in Nero, the lowest speed I can select is 6x burn speed. In ImgBurn, I can set burn speeds that are lower than 6x, such as 1x and 2x; however, even if I tell the computer to burn at those speeds, the resulting average burn speed still comes out to about 6x burn speed. I know that the recommended burn speed is 4x or even 2x.

I have burned games at 6x and for most games, I am experiencing game disc errors. I have a Memorex DVD+-RAM 510L v1 DVD drive and I am burning onto SONY AccuCORE DVD-R discs. The discs says that it can burn from 1x - 16x speeds. I am assuming that it is my DVD burner. Does anyone know if I should get a new burner or a new media like Verbatim.

    Thanks in advance!

Try ImgBurn, it's a free iso burining application which might offer you more options on the speed. It's very simple and works very well with wii isos.

I tried it with both Nero and ImgBurn. Both give me an average burn speed of 6x regardless of which program I use. I've been using ImgBurn for most of my burns.

Funny, I completely overlooked your text on ImgBurn the first time I read your post.

Then it's a probably a firmware limitation of your drive, you might get different speeds with different discs.

I agree with Tealc! Regarding the media, for sure, try Verbatim DVD-R. They should work nicely.
