    Mini DVD-R Gamecube not reading

I have burned Metroid Prime to a mini dvd-r (RiData G04), and the game starts up fine, I create a file, and go to play, and after a few minutes into the game I get a message saying that "The game disc could not be read.....blah, blah, blah." Anyway, I am using Imgburn, at 2x speed, I've even tried at 1x, and it's obvious the Wii can read the disk, it loads it, and it comes up in the disc channel as a gamecube game. I'm just trying to figure out why it says this after a few minutes into the game, when it seems to start off ok. By the way, i'm running a wiikey2 on a clip, not sure that has anything to do with it. My wii backups work great, and even when I burn the gamecube to a regular dvd-r, they work great (I use verbatim there)

I guess I was just wondering if anyone has had better luck with the mini dvd-r for gamecube, and what media they used. I have searched the forums, but haven't come up with much in that area. Thanks for your time.

    EDIT:

I got some mini DVD-R to work. Instead of the ridata i tried (must have been bad media, as the company I bought them from no longer sells them), I actually thought I'd try some TDK. So far I've played Metroid Prime for a few hours and no errors! (yeah I know, probably won't get the best ending, but the Mini's work!) Anyway, just thought I would let everyone know, you may close this thread if you wish!

Install the mIOS as Jon said and use the 4.7 DVD-R's.
You can use the Gamecube loader if like it works just like the USB_loader for the Wii games accept for the Gamecube games.

The mini DVD's are used for cam recorders.

When i start to burn my gamecube backups, im ganna use mini's. I already have 60 all ready to go. I use mini's because they fit nicer. Yea you can put them on a regular dvd but if you dont put more than 1 game on a dvd, your wasting the discs.

You can put mutiple GC games on 1 DVD.

Because I have the wiikey 2 on my wii, do I need something else to run a multi game disc? I have an lu64 and unfortunately had updated to 4.0 before I even knew about wiihacks.com Thanks again for all your help, as well as the rest of those who have posted!

I did burn a single wii game to a 4.7 GB disc, and it worked great. I'm wondering if it wasn't the media, as the one that works is Verbatim, and I believe I said the mini was RiData. Kinda crazy though, I usually swear by RiData, they are generally pretty good. Maybe I had a bad batch.

EDIT: Nevermind, Used multigameISOcreator, it seems to work fine. Saves I had for the games when they were on a single dvd don't work though, I guess it's reading it as an entirely different game. Thanks for all the help!
