Do you mind if I ask what brand of Mini's you use, and what modchip do you have installed, if any.

I dont have a modchip installed. Its just a softmod wii. Why wouldnt minis work? The mini original discs work. The mini's I use are memorex. Work perfectly fine for me. I have 58 blanks all ready to go once I am finished downloading my remaining wii games.

Nah it works. And I got all my minis from Circuit city when they went out of business. A pack of 20 memerex minis for $6, cant go wrong.

All the original Gamecube games are minis, And the Wii is suppose to play the
    GC games.

But, I would not use minis for a backup, You can fit a bunch of GC games on a 4.7 DVD.

I do the same thing, I have at least 15 GC games on 3 regular sized DVDs. Multi-boot disc saves me $$$.

Yea but with my situation, I use all my regular size dvd-r's for wii games. I have already burnt 143 games. Just about out of my verbatims. Just got a 100 pack of TDK's for $20.

    Exclamation Tdk

Don't know if you caught my edit, but I bought some TDK mini DVD-R, and so far they work great. So, hopefully problem solved!
