    Burning Help Please!!

OK like I said in my intro I have done alot of reading. I'm able to change factory disk to a iso file and burn with Image Burn and disk works. I burn them slow at 2x. My question is say I have a copied game not one I have already changed and have still in a file on computer. But a game allready burnt to a disk and I put in computer to copy Windows don't reconize it so I can not load it to Image Burn. What program do I need so I can copy game into computer and burn with Image burn? Thanks Dago

First off, you need to buy a special drive. Theres only 4 drives made that can read wii games. They are made by LG. I have one myself but I dont know which model numbers they are off the top of my head. Go google it and type in "what drives can read wii games". The drives are rather old but are cheap. I got mine for $30 off ebay. After you get the drive thats needed, then you need to download a program called rawdump.

NO..he's already got the burnt disc....he's not asking about the origina disc dude. I use Nero 9--> Copy Disc and it works fine for "copied" games not the original disc. There are times for some reason that IMGBURN will not recgonise a "burnt" wii game, but NERO always does....JASON34 is talking about if you are trying to read an ORIGINAL WII DISC. You need a Model GRD - 8162b LG drvie to read the wii disc. I found one at local computer scrap shop in a pile of drives for 5.00 works great! Actually he had about 10 of them,,i told the shop owner what they can do and he sells them now for 50.00 as a "specialty item" ,..lol

He said hes able to change the factory disc to an iso file. Um you cant do that unless you have one of those 4 drives, which is what I said. Wii games have a special encoding in them that only certain drives can read. Now once you have a backup copy, any drive can read them.

I honestly dont understand what the problem is your having. I use rawdump to dump my games and use imgburn to burn them.

    better description

Jason34 Lets say a buddy gave you his copy of a disk and told you. Make a copy of this disk and give mine back to me. That is my problem and when you put copied disk in windows it does not recognize it. So how do you make a copy for yourself? The taking of a factory disk and coping I can do. I have been working on getting nero 9 installed like wiiminator said. I hope you kind of understand what I'm trying to do. If you know of another way please tell me. And Thanks Again

Look in my signature for a link on how to dump and burn discs.

To rip the data off of an original, you need one of 5 special LG drives and the program "Raw Dump".

I'm not sure if this helps, but to make a duplicate of a copied game, you don't need anything special.

    Sorry but Not True

I don't know if this applies only to modded 4.0e wii's but I have just tried it with the sports games disc ( original ) that comes with the wii and it works.

Use wbfs manager (I have v3.0).
Set up a hard drive ( mines a 2.5inch 120gb hitachi) as per wbfs instructions i.e. formatted correctly. Load an iso from your pc.
Plug the drive into the wii make sure the game works using usbloader (I use v1.5).

Now go to the menu of the usbloader and stick an original disc into the wii.
Extract it to the hard drive. Check to see if it works.

Turn off the wii, remove the drive and plug it back into the pc.
I use windows 7 and a message comes up that the drive needs formatting before use. (Other windows variations should have similar messages).

CANCEL this message box-DO NOT FORMAT

    Run wbfs manager
Top left box asks for drive, enter the drive letter
Next box says load, click this
All the games on the drive are listed
Highlight the game you want to extract
Near the bottom is a box that says Extract Iso' click this
    Enter a destination
    Fill this in.

It only takes 1 or 2 minutes to extract the iso.
If you go to the iso you will see a 4.6gb file

I hope this works on all modded wii's, as it does on mine.
