Why are burns not working anymore?

    Hello
I have not used my wii much, however with some new games out I wanted to play it again. I am using memmorex dvd+r, the same i used before, however everytime I burn it with img burn at 1x or 2x I get black screen and it says error check manual. I am using img burn which I used with my other burns and imgburn. I test my older burns and they work fine. Any suggestions? is it a setting or firmware thing? My wii has a wii key and I think 1.9b or s. Also firmware is 3.2U.. any help would be greatly appreciated.

For games that give the error 002 you need to either update you cios36 or patch it. The black screen means you need to change the ios of the game to 249. Download IOSpatcher. Then you want to open that games iso file with iospatcher. In that program, it will tell you what ios that game uses. Just simply type in 249 and hit enter and the ios will now be 249. I know with my wii any game that has a ios53, I know I will get an error 002 so I just patch it before I burn it.

I had the same black screen problem with a couple of back-ups I burned using Img Burner and some Verbatim DVD-R's (a combination that has been succesful for at least 6 months). I downloaded IOSPatcher and patched it to 249 and reburned. No luck I'm afraid.

I'm going to try the NERO suggestion and then try updating my Wii's IOS. Unfortunately I've never been succesful with this before so if anyone can link me to a good how-to guide in these forums I'd be grateful.

UPDATE: I haven't tried burning with Nero yet, but I did upgrade my IOS:

used Wad Manager 1.3 to install IOS36-64-v1042.wad and IOS36-64-v2070.wad
used Homebrew to install cIOS37 (rev3)

And when I tried my latest burns I still got a black screen

First off, when you go and get these iso files, open up iospatcher and tell me what these games ios' are? I can easily tell you what needs to be done to each game just by knowing what ios the game uses.

How can I tell? I've dragged the .iso file onto the iospatcher executable and only get the option to change the ios version. (Incidentally the readme says "For most games, IOS version 30 is recommended" and makes no mention of IOS249.)
