hey

well it depends on what kind they are, if they are .rar files, or .001, .002 and so on files, you just take the first one, right click hold, drag it to an open area in the folder and click extract here. Then you should have the .ISO,

A .RAR in case you didnt know is a ZIP compression filetype. so once you have the .ISO file, you can burn it using image burn or something of the likeliness.

One reason they use Rar files (as I found out to my cost) is because the ISO's are to big to be copied onto older files systems (Fat, FAT32) as they cant work with individual files over 4Gb. I have a external hard drive for backups and as soon as you try to copy any of the Wii ISO's you get an "insufficient Disk space" message, so I had to spend ages recreating the Rar files lol

Everytime I insert a legit Wii Game , my Macbook does not read the disk, and will eject it everytime.

I have a MacBook intel. Do I need to get some special drivers for my DVD burner? MATSHITA DVD-R UJ-857 - is the burner I have.

Anyhelp would be great.

mac

yup you need a LG burner, the macbook drive cannot read a wii game, only the LG's can, they have the same encoding.

now if your trying to burn a game that you already have a backup for, remember that you have to have a LG drive to take a legit copy of a game and make an ISO of it on your computer (Estimated time 4.5 hours) if you already have the ISO lets say from a torrent site, or something that you downloaded, you put a blank DVD-R into the burner, then use IMGBURN which is for windows, I dont know if it is for Mac, but something of the sort to burn an ISO. and burn it at 2x or 1x. Also make sure you have a modded Wii, you need to have a modchip in order for this to work.

Has anyone else had this? Is it a bad recording, or a bad wiikey fitting?
I had exactly the same problem. After playing for several days without any problem, my Super Mario Galaxy backup just woudn´t load, returning the same message as yours. I´ve burnt it on a sony DVD-r 4.7Gb accucore 16x, using ImgBurn at 4x speed. I´ve also have a Wii NTSC-USA with wiikey 1.9g.
I´ve cleaned the DVD and so far it´s running normally again, lets see for how long.
I´ll try burning next games at 2x and see how they behave.

Before you burn the ISO, dont you think you should use a region fix proggie or Brickblocker first on it? I know most games you download are designated NTSC or PAL, but, better safe than sorry!!!!
