    Dumping to USB storage

Ok. first of all, this is my very first post in the forums. So when I sya or ask something stupid, please be a little understanding

So, I want to, errr, backup some games. I want to either fump them via wifi or using a USB storage device.

My first question is, can I plug in a external USB HDD to dump to? If so, how and what apps do I need to do it?

Second, regarding wifi, I'm getting the following error with Wiihttpd "Not a valid Wii application" I have a new Wii (11 days old) that I've already downgrade to 3.2E and installed Homebrew, Gator loader, and the IOS files to run them. I've been able to play some downloaded games using both TDK and Verbatim DVD -R's and +R's without many issues. So obviously I am missing something here.

    Any help would be great!!

BTW, why don't you have an Aussie flag Post icon? There seems to be enough of us here....

"Not a valid Wii application" usually means you have forgotten to rename the file to "boot.dol" before loading on to the SD card

Like the idea of the Aussie flag too
Have you used the search function ? used the Tutorial section ?

Did you know you can donate to help the running of this forum ?

if your wad manager is working, id get dvd dumper 1.2, i had problems with wiihttpd not letting me connect to it, i got dvd dumper 1.2 and it works great! It gives you the option to dump to a mass storage instead of streaming it to you pc, but i have never tried the mass storage so i feel its safer to do the wifi.

never the less, i will try the usb one tomorrow, maybe it takes less than 4 hours to dump lol

    Wii wifi dump.

Hi all. This is mt first ever post. If i do somthing wrong in this please just tell me . Dont yell. That being said.....
I've hacked a few systems in my time (not a pro just folling directions).
I found a youtube link to a gent who posted a vid on how to link your wii to your pc wirelessly. First you should have a wireless router and pc. Of course a wii. I had to down grade to wii os 3.2 because 3.3 would not work.
Next go to youtube and search for 0wxw0. Then click the link that says
Rip Wii Games With Wii Over WiFi - No Modchip. He shows you and has a link the the software to the right. It was simple for me. Hope it helps.
