I bought a new TV !
my backup game of 'carnival games' and 'COD 5' just scrolls on my TV. at first I thought it was a bad install of all the necessary steps/cios, etc. but then I was able to connect this wii up to a composite video port of a pc monitor and it works perfectly fine.
i tried mucking around w/ the TV's resolution/wide-screen setting - changed it to non-wide screen, changed TV's resolution to one that's not the highest but no luck.
anyone seen this before and if so, please let me know what you did.

Have you used the search function ? used the Tutorial section ?
Did you know you can donate to help the running of this forum ?
hi...sorry we're busy, so only giving priority to supporting members like MK contestants / forum donators at this time...
The advice given is up to you whether to act on it or not. NO responsibility is taken for you screwing up !
Thanks for your understanding
Is it your own backups or some that has been downloaded? If it's downloaded, you might have the wrong region game for your wii. It happened to me. I donwloaded a PAL game and I have a NTSC wii. The forcing to NTSC doesn't seem to work for me so all I get is the screen scrolling. PAL uses a 50 htz and NTSC uses 60. Computer monitors (most of them anyways) can do both. that might be why it works on it and not your tv.
Someone jump in if I'm wrong.
"composite video port".......did u say that ?
thanks for the info, it makes a lot of sense if these are PAL games.
to billyhome, yes, composite port of my PC monitor. yeah it's pretty cool, these Dell monitors has vga, dvi, composite and s-video so I could use it to play my wii in the computer room. It is a pretty good monitor, can do 1600 x 1200
Have you tried any other games on your Wii since then? Your TV ports might be f'd up.
How are you playing these backups?
Man I am going to have to try this out, I just so happen to have the same problem, where the video scrolls. I know for a fct mine is PAL, I should have paid more attention. It always pays to use the search engine.
