It was a road I was hoping not to have to go down - you see, the serial number sticker is missing off the back of my Wii and every resource I've seen says that this is a necessary piece of info for choosing the correct modchip.

Yep, thats the best way to find out. I opened mine up yesterday, and found out that my drive is epoxied (which completely sucks @%$) but good thing that all my games work. (knock on wood)

I had the same problem with samba and i use a d2sun chip. The problem is it always wants to update, though if you remove update using brickblocker it will just load black screen.

I found the solution to this is to -

    1) Download samba de amigo

    2) Unzip and use brickblocker on it

    3) Use IOS-Patcher (Setting number 30)

    4) Burn as usual

This worked for me. Prior to using the ios patcher i had a black screen. Prior to avoiding using brickblocker i needed to update. This will avoid using the ios37 and will instead stick to 30 which shouldnt require any updates or anything.

Hope this helps, as i fear when you do sort your chip you will still return with this prob.

Now where did i leave my maracas?

P.s I read this technique will work on super smash bros brawl too, but i do not have that game so i dont know. But if you ever do get it and encounter that prob, this should sort that too.

ive noticed all of your posts on games with rom links , they get close too easy, it would go better if you either had blog or facebook with the links on the mega upload or rapid share, , or had ppl send you their email address if they would like the links, i would love the atari xl roms but sadly dont know where the links are, googling dont help either or is it against the rule to post links to your own facebook, yahoo, and all the others out there.

Just to make a point on this issue, there's a reason for such threads that "get close too easy" --- read the rules. And as the last activity on this thread was _16_ months ago, thread closed.
