I am trying to back up some of my games to my laptop. I am using a WBFS formatted 16 gb flashdrive. I can run WBFS files off of it perfectly well using usb loader gx and neogamma and wiiflow. But when I try to back up a game it is installing at around 50 kb/s and says it will take a day or so to download! Can anyone help me make it install faster or something? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Could you please make your problem a little clearer for me? Are you trying to rip the games, from the original discs, through your laptop's DVD drive? If so, what program are you using? What do you mean by "downloading"? Are you downloading the games through the Internet?

Sorry let me clarify. I am trying to install the games from the wii itself using my original wii disks. I tried using the usb loaders like usb loader gx and configurable usb loader but when I select install it starts installing at an extremely slow rate.
Okay - I am assuming that you have tried this with more than one disc, so it is not just the case of one disc being dirty/faulty. It could be an issue with your wii disc drive - maybe it is not completely gone but is slowly dying. All wii disc drives become worse and worse as you play more games via disc. How long have you had your wii for, and what games are you trying to rip?
I would recommend that you either just wait and try ripping one disc - then you can test the backup copy to see if it is in working condition. If you have a friend with a softmodded wii, you can try using their wii to rip the game to see how long it takes their wii to rip the game.
Ok cool thanks. Ya I have had this wii for several years now and just recently decided to softmod it. And yes I have tried several disks and guess thats the problem. You said something about programs that can rip your games using a computer? Any suggestions?
And the games Im trying to do this with are:
Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games
Lego Indiana Jones
Lego Batman
Lego Starwars the Complete Saga
And several other less important games.
Ripping games using a PC is much more difficult because you need a specific DVD drive (LG I think) that will read wii discs. Most PCs wont be able to rip the games so I wouldn't bother trying unless you think you have the drive.
Is there a person you know with a wii? Like I said before, you can use their wii to rip the game onto your HDD.
