Error: Not a Wii/GC disc on NeoGamma

I put in an iso of a Wii backup game on a DVD-R disc, burned it at 4x. At first I got the error 00053000, which I fixed and patched using dv6 loader.

However, I keep getting an error that says (Not a Wii/GC disc).

I burned it using Disk Utility on Mac OS X. I'm figuring that it could be that I burned a PAL iso and am playing it on a NTSC Wii, but apparently NeoGamma is supposed to fix that issue.

    Anyone know what's going on?

The wii does not like poor quality dvds, that may be the issue. We have a section in the forum for burning and playing backup discs, have a look there and see if you can find a solution.

Hmmm, well I'm using Memorex, which is SUPPOSED to be the best, but I am gonna try again using an NTSC version of the iso this time.

And yeah, I'll have a look. Thanks.

Im having this issue with my almost dead drive. Its not the DVD media or loaders. I have to check if its really the drive or the lens.

I am having the exact same issue and I don't know what to do! I burned a game I downloaded via torrent using Disk Utility to a Verbatim DVD-R (speed 4x), installed NeoGamma , fixed the first error it used to show and I still can't play the game! Does anybody have a suggestion on how to fix this issue?

Thank you in advance for any responses

Update: Tried another Memorex DVD-R, burned an NTSC version of an iso with 8x this time using the app SimplyBurns instead of using the Disk Utility in the Mac OS X and I still get the error.

Guess I'm just gonna have to use the USB port. Disappointing, but at least I'm not alone.
