might be the +r that is the problem as most people get success on -r discs mainly? do you have a -r that you can try?

    Wrong

I know for fact that you are absolutely wrong. I read elsewhere that you should use DVD+R. So the local target store had a sale on SONY DVD+R and I bought them. I have burned two games both work perfectly. Force Unleased as well as Sonic and the secret rings. I burned at 4x on ImgBurn. Absolutely no issues. I have not tried a DVD-R but no need to. +R works just fine.

You know for a fact that who's absolutely wrong? And don't accuse anybody with such an absolute statement if you don't know what you're talking about.

What you read is wrong - and since much more people suggest -R it probably does work better.

If you read the thread, you would have known that people are saying that "-R works better but most of the time +R works as well." Your wii accepts +R then. Lucky you. Maybe down the road +R will fail for you, maybe it won't.

All people are saying is that most of the time -R works a lot better. I'm not flaming you, or anything - but just don't use words such as 'absolutely wrong'.

LOL...WAHHHHH!!!! Good grief people. I understand why some say do not use DVD+R's. Taiyo Yuden invented the standard..I can only seem to find that branded disc as -r. Sony started the Red Book booktype with Bethoven 6th symphony for timing and speed (i believe the 6th) for cd's. I have read and talked to other people..9x's out of 10, the person that was having their Wii fixed used +r's. However, what if, that person was like me and got tired of -r coasters and went with +r's. How many licks to the center of a tootsie roll pop?? Unless your gonna hook up an O-Scope to the drive and monitor from one side of the disc read to the other..there's no real way of knowing how the laser reacts to any media. That is FACT and I have years of electrical technology under my belt (not tearing apart something cause I seen it on youtube..however, I am also guilty of that too ;-/).

I wish I could get -r's to work for me..I have a butt load of them!!!!
