i don't know about anyone else, but i used tdk at first and they worked fine.

then i ran out and started using memorex, and they also work fine with no lags or loud clicking etc

    DVD-R just works better.
I am using sony dvd+r, philips dvd-r, and TDK dvd-r. So far these work great. I picked up a 100 pack of the TDK at office depot for $22. bucks.

    Hi
I have tried the verbatim - disks, but i dont think my drive can write slower than 4x, its an optiarc d/layer drive, as the backups dont work ( cannot read disk---)could this be the reason?

CAV vs CLV for burning DVR-R

    CLV and CAV Burning :

from dvr-digest "There are also two different recording methods, CLV (Constant Linear Velocity) and CAV (Constant Angular Velocity). CLV is mainly used in streaming video applications where high transfer speed is required. CAV has better random access times, and hence better for computer storage/applications.

DVD-R/RW uses CLV, which makes them good for DVD-Video applications. DVD+R/RW can use both CLV and CAV."

Since DVR-R is what we are using to burn wii games, would a burner that burns DVR-R via CAV not work as well? I was thinking about picking this up from Newegg LG 22X DVD±R DVD Burner Black SATA Model GH22NS30 [DVD-R 22X (CAV)] but it seems to only burn DVR-R via CAV.

    Verbatim DVD-R Lightscribe

Has anyone had any problems with Verbatim LightScribe 16x DVD-R? Sounds like Verbatin DVD-R is the popular choice but was thinking of purchasing Verbatim Lightscribe DVD's.
