+r's work fine if you set the book type to dvd-rom. In my burning I've came to the conclusion atleast for me that sony dvd-/+ r and verbatim +/- r work very well. I've even had 80% success rate with hp -r's. I'd really like to try Taiyo-Yuden and even soem of the Ri-Data discs for backups but haven't found a resasonable price yet. Also MBI (Memorex brnaded discs) are very picky depending on your burner's firmware. I always seem to ahve no luck with them.
Now one more questions though, the brand Vertamin seems to have a couple of types in their range that are DVD-R... so is there a specific product that is good or are they all good.

Thanks.
The newest ones (orange package label) seem to be heavily in rotation at the major US chains (Amazon, NewEgg, BestBuy, Office Max). Those are the ones I'm using and they're fine.
I just bought memorex for 15 (50pack). I go to school in the sticks and there isnt much for choice, it was that or Maxel or something like that..
Realistically how are the memorex?
THanks.
From what I have read; 1st: in regards to the Wii, if you use the Verbatim -R then the Wii has to work less, so last longer without hitches. 2nd: memorex are most probably an average disc.
Thanks, I think I am going to stick with the Memorex for now (as in for one game disc), just to see if this works out for me, and than when I leave the sticks I will pick up some good verbatims.
