Ca

I've been using Verbatim disks at 4x write speed, and have so far had the following results:

Successful burns: 3
Failed burns: 3

Possibly the DVD burner has more of an impact than the CD used. The successful disks play the game without any issues, other than being displayed in greyscale for being from a different region--a simple problem to fix in NeoGamma

The use of quality disc is more for the Wii laser than the success of actually burning the disc. I had a drive once that failed every now and then, so I bought a new one and the errors stopped. I've never had a single burn fail, and I burnt 30-40 Wii Isos before I went USB. I didn't use a single Verbatim, I'm funny like that.

Exclamation Burning Wii Games

Hi there people, i use ASDA own DVD+R disc's to burn off my wii games and i have no proplem with them. I use NeoGamma Rev4 channel to boot them. So why is it better to use DVD-R?

It's because people have less problems with -R rather than +R.

Memorx DVD-R Discs

I just purchased a 50-pack of Memorex DVD-R discs and I'm having the same problem I was having with the DVD+R Taiyo-Yuden and Ridata/Ritek discs.

I have successfully burned the ISO at 4x using imgburn with verify. The problem is the game's splash screen is displayed, but when I click "Start" the drive seems to spin a bit and the screen goes black with "An Error Has Occurred. Press the eject button, remove the game disc, and turn the power off. Read the Wii Manual" and it stops.

I now have system menu 4.1U after doing the softmod upgrade. Is it possible I've done something wrong? Can I follow the upgrade steps from the install guide again and just do it over?

It's happened with three different ISOs and at least three separate types of media.

What are the minimum things I need to check (wads, IOS, etc) to make sure are installed in order for it to work properly?

Thanks,
Alex
