M3DS firmware v4.4a X released! Mario and Luigi Fix

System for G6 M3i Zero & M3DS Real(15-09-2009)

This firmware was released today. I downloaded it and installed it, and can verify that it fixes the new Mario and Luigi - Bowsers Inside Story. For me this game would become unresponsive at the select save screen before installing this new firmware.

I'm sure the firmware does other stuff, but I couldn't find anything on it.

No instructions came with it, so this is what I did.
1. made a backup of the systems folder from my mircoSD that goes in my M3DS
2. deleted the system folder from my microSD that goes in my M3DS
3. unzipped the download and copied the new system folder to the microSD that goes in my M3DS.
4. reinsert the microSD into the M3DS
5. select language. Done.
6. the reason I copied the system folder that was on the microSD previously, was to save my skins and reinstall that system folder if the new one didn't work.

Problems getting the new operating system working? I found on more than one instance that I had to reformat my microSD card to get the new update to work, because of a bad sector on the microSD. Just copy all the stuff from your microSD to your computer and format the microSD. After format, copy the new System folder and all the stuff you saved back to your microSD.

this new firmware sure did speed up my M3DS Real, seems that scrolling thru the games and booting them is much, much, faster.

Where it says DOWNLOAD, click on that.

Hi there, just a quick question do you have to reflash the m3i zero card when you put the new system folder on to the sd?

no, just replace the system folder with the new one (delete you old one, backup you skins etc if you need to first!)
