Just got my DSI How to avoid 1.4 update???

Well i am new to this dsi stuff. I just ordered my m3i and was wondering how do I avoid taking the update and screwing myself.

I set up my wireless already but I did not accept the user agreement since I read that they have to right to update without permission. And did not want it to do the update.

My question is how do I avoid the update now before I get my card and later after I have installed my card. Can I accept the user agreement and not get the update.

Right now with no games there is not much I can see to do with it. Is there a web browser included or do I have to download it.

    Thanks for your help.

you have to download it and sadly you can't acsess the shop with out an update the best thing for now i guess is to turn off the wifi card in the options since there have been some accounts of auto updating (can't confirm it myself but better safe then sorry) P.S. hopefully they will come out with a patch

    This time i made sure....

Seems slow in the forum. Or am I just being dumbass that everyone is ignoring.

    one more question

Is it safe to use wifi when i get my card installed. Still not sure exactly how it works since I have not used a card before. But from what I have been reading the DSI boots off the sd card and runs its own os. Correct? Will it still update when I am using the cards OS? Also is it possible to load the Internet browser though the flash Carts Os.

Sorry if I am asking dumb questions but I do not have my card yet. I think I may just run down and pick myself up a dslite.

I wanted to play games with another Ds I can't do that with the wifi turned off can I?

Well i keep mine off because i never use it but if you need to use it just keep it on and yes there is an internet browser on a flashcart but it will run in DS mode so it will be slower but its a web browser at least

    Thanks for the info.

I took in a load of my xbox360 games and put the credit toward a dslite at gamestop. so I can play with it without worrrying about. updates.

So am I correct to assume that the Dsi will not update when I am using the flash Cart.(M3iZero and Supercard dsonei (I got both)) Or is there still danger?

Nope it wont update unless you tell it to but the manual of the DSi says it may auto update so thats why i keep the wifi card off until i need it
