    R4i card blocked

    hi guys,

ive stupidly updated my dsi to the latest firmware now my r4i card is not working. ive downloaded the latest r4i firmware & put it on the card but same thing.
ive seen on the web that the card needs to be updated before the dsi. i only know people with a ds but they are a pain to connect to the internet.
anyone got any ideas if another firmware will work on the r4i card instead of the usual one? or if anyone know another way around this?
any help would be much appreciated.

ive managed to get a ds connected to my internet.
looking at some posts about upgrading the firmware on the card, it shows an upgrade menu. i dont have that, so ive used teh WiFi engine which has upgraded the kernal. took a while to do. put the card in my dsi which has the latest firmware and it still says an error has occured refer to manual.
    have i missed something?

Which r4i card are yo using? It looks like you're updating the kernel, that won't fix this issue

Check the card's website in the box there are a lot of these clones so I'm not completely sure which card you have. But most R4 cards don't support other fw then the one it says on the box or it's front sticker

You can't update this card for it to work on anothe fw. Get the R4i SDHC v1.4.3 or get a card that works with different fws like Supercard DSTWO, Acekard2i, CycloDS iEvo

That 1.46b file is the kernel, this is mainly just game fixes. You can't do anything to your card right now, either get a new dsi with lower fw, or get a new card

bummer. so even using a ds with a lower firmware wont cure my card?
any particular card you would recommend as being cheap but also reliable & easy to update etc..?
