    GBA emulator for DS/DSi

ichichfly, developer of the Yu-Gi-Owned exploits, has created a gba emulator for DS/DSi. It is still in its infancy, so don't expect much. This was released just to show it can be done, and he wanted to be the first to demonstrate it.

This is an gba emulator for DS(i) it can run gba homebrew up to 2 MB very slow. No gui it just starts the rom

    how to use:

put the gba homebrew as gba.gba on the SD and start the nds

    Download:
    r4
    http://www.mediafire.com/file/y6mg9e6qc67r...gbandsemur4.zip

    r5 fix1
GBAEmu DS r5 fix1.zip <-- compiled versions are not working use nitro

there are 2 nds inside arm9 is just the software mode slow but nearly no Graphic bugs the other (hwspeedup) is faster and can generate more frames but has graphic bugs (number of frames that are generated in hwspeedup every secound is always the same. In every homebrew)

    Changelog:

    r4
    fixed key detection
hwspeedup: fixed BG mode 3,4,5 but not good yet
    hwspeedup: little speedup
    hwspeedup: speedup by dmaCopy
hwspeedup: size decrease the nds is about 80KB smaller
hwspeedup: little menü for changing the fps that are generated not good yet

    r5

can load bigger gba roms in dsi mode (14.680.064) or with slot-2 ram (thanks Mbmax for testing)
    can run commercial roms (beta)
ui to load gba and .sav (beta) (hope this work as it worked with nitro)
load saves (no save saving just the load funktion) (beta)

    fix1

fix DSi mode (broken when there are to much files on the SD) but dec size to a little bit more than 14 MB
    fix arm9
    fix gba open (hope)

    incomplete compatibility list

It looks like a rom of about 14MB is the limit, at the source somebody said they were able to load a pokemon rom, with issues. The emulator that they said couldn't be made?

This barely runs now but I have high hopes for it.

I remember a team that was once saying they could make a N64 emulator for the DS. I wonder if the emulator ever reached beta 1

I've never seen a N64 emu for DS, but I was about to try that one I posted for the PSP, it looks like the beta 3 was released for it. I cant wait for the next release of the Wii64.

I'm not a big fan of emulators but when I had my PSP I remember trying the N64 emu but couldn't run Super Mario 64. That was more than a year ago tho.

Have they fix the speed issues?

    Unhappy GBAEmu DS(i) problem

Hey Ichichfly--I tried using your latest gba emulator for the ds/dsi and I can't get it to recognize--or even acknowledge the existence of--gba roms I placed on the root of my sd card. What do I do? I installed the program as per your instructions, and tried to start up a gba rom (super mario advance 4) on my dsi, using Wood R4i firmware.

This only run homebrew, some say they have gotten a pokemon rom but I dont think its true, knowing this runs at 2MB
