    Looking for cart/kart advice

    Hi guys.

I'm looking for some advice regarding the purchase of a new cart/kart.

I bought my kids an R4 Revolution last year.
    R4 Adapter,R4ds Card - www.r4ds.com

It's been great but it's increasingly hard to get recent stuff to work on it.

The kids have some money of their own and want an acekard. But I'm not sure if that's the best one to buy. sorry for the nubness, I've looked time and time again and considered werther to post this or not. But could someone please tell me what is the best cart to but at the moment.

    With appreciation, keas.

    Hi Keasy
The acekard is an excellent flash card solution.
However, after today's release of DSi firmware 1.41 there is a possibility that this card (or any, it is unknown yet at this stage how many of the cards are affected by this update) will have been blocked. Of course one can avoid updating to 1.41 but this provides other issues in itself.
Also another potential problem with the acekard is that in order to update the internal software of the cart, another DS on a lower firmware is needed.
My pick of the carts would personally be the M3i Zero.
It is completely updateable via usb, supports real time save and the list goes on. You don't really need me to list all the features do you?
This is my personally used cart and I'd say it is the best solution on the market, because it is upgradeable and also suits ANY so far released DS (DS, DS lite, DSi or DSi XL).
    Hope this helps.

Acekard supports real time save and you can update the firmware on the SD card using any PC with card reader. Acekard's compatibility is superior to any R4 card and my personal favorite thus far. Not saying it's "the best," but saying far better than most.

    Are you positive about this?
According to OzModChips, it is only upgradeable via another console, and even then not a complete upgrade...

I'm speaking of Acekard's firmware, in case there was any confusion there.

I have a cyclods and it works great. Stay clear of the R4. I had one and hated it. Too many different versions of the R4 makes finding the correct firmware very difficult. The only way to know which is the correct firmware is by trial and error. It can take hours.
