Help Cleaning DS Lite L and R Button Contacts

Hey guys, I don't know if any of you guys here have taken apart a DS Lite before, but I have a black DS Lite that has sticky L and R buttons. I've taken it apart (it's out of warranty) and am cleaning the L and R button contacts. I have heard that using rubbing alcohol and a q-tip is a good idea for this, but I am wondering if I could use DENATURED alcohol and a q-tip to clean inside the actual contacts for my L and R buttons(Below the actual button-pushy part)? I'm wary to do so because I don't want to use something that will eat up my terminals or contacts or be harsh on my DS. But rubbing alcohol contains oil. So it doesn't seem logical to use it. Therefore denatured alcohol sounds wise. But I only have one DS, and denatured alcohol does seem harsh... Please help me in this matter. I would very much appreciate it. Thanks.

Thanks dude for the help, but I used some of my N64 cartridge cleaner solution and a q-tip on the insides of the contacts of my L and R buttons, and they NOW WORK PERFECTLY! LIKE NEW! SUPER MARIO 64 DS ALL NIGHT BABY! Mario Kart DS anyone?
