Not sure what you mean by a rom to usb cable but once you have the rom on your pc you just drag it to the usb slot where you have your microsd.

If you are talking about your microsd card being too small for usb slot - they usually come with an adapter to make it an SD card or if you don't have a slot for an SD card in your pc, you can get a microsd to usb adapter which looks like this: Amazon.com: Kingston USB 2.0 microSD Flash Memory Card Reader FCR-MRB (Black): Electronics

When I ordered my Acekard 2i, I got an adapter for free with the kart.

    Hope that helps you.

What i Like to do is after you get all your files on the card before you start adding roms is to right click on then then in properties check hide. This way the kids can just drag and drop roms or delete them without mucking it up. You will have to change you OS to to show hidden files when you want to do updates or just reformat the card and start over again.

    Tutorial

PLEASE don't throw me under the bus!!!!! Just bought my son a DS Lite for Xmas and I know I won't get it done before the big day but I am definately interested in learning how to do this. Just wanted to know if anyone knows of a tutorial for this process. I don't want to fill up the forums with a bunch of back and forth questions. Thanking you in advance....Happy Holidays
