What kind of battery does a GBA game take?

Have a GBA game with a dead save battery and I've decided I want to replace it. I've done some google searching but I'm getting mixed answers there. Some are saying CR1616, some CR2032, and some CR2025.

Perhaps it doesn't matter and all three of the above are compatible, I don't know. I just wanted to get a confirmation before I went out and bought a battery that may not work. Thanks to anyone who can tell me.

While I have no direct answer, a lot of the times the variances are either physical size or thickness. I have some with the same voltage and dimensions, only to find them twice as think as another (car for for my better half's PT Cruiser, as an example). Can you not disassemble it and find the cell number on the dead battery?

I have to wait for my tri-wing screw driver to come in first, but once it does I suppose that probably would be the best way to find out. I just though all GBA games took the same type of battery size they're all the same size cartridges.

Any self proclaiming video gamer should have at least one.

A small flat head will also work as long as you take your time.

I want to say CR1616 however I can't prove it as fact.
I will direct you to this documentation page and call your attention to posts 9 and 11.
    Hope it helps.

I have several GBA cartridges and a tri-wing. I think I have time for a quick peek, will report back my findings.

Thanks I ordered my screw driver last night but it's going to take a week to get here.
