Flashcart recommdation for 3ds or 3ds xl

Since i have received server emails for the silmar questions about choosing a flashcart for 3ds. i would like to post a guide here.

currtnely there are two types of 3ds flashcards for 3ds or 3ds xl, one if for playing normal ds games, such as r4i gold 3ds, r4i sdhc, dstwo and more... those cards are used for playing ds games on the 3ds and can play nearly all the ds games. the best of them is r4i gold 3ds or supercard dstwo for playing ds games. the other type is for playing 3ds games, currently only 2 cards can play 3ds games, including gateway 3da and r4i gold 3ds Deluxe Edition, (3dslink is another one, but has been confirmed same as r4i gold 3ds Deluxe Edition, same card with two brands.) but those two cards can only work on 3ds V4.1 to V4.5 firmware, which means when you receive your new 3ds console, check the firmwares first, if the firmware is V4.5 below, then you can play both 3ds and ds games on it with different cards, if the firmware is V4.5 higher, then you can only play ds games with the normal cards.

    Conclusion

if your 3ds or 3ds xl firmware is on V4.5 or higher firmware, you can only play ds games on it, and want to find a easy to set up card, recommend you buy r4i gold 3ds card, make sure it is this on http://www.dsflashcart.com/r4i-gold-...3ds-p-248.html and if you want more advanced features, don'r care about a little complicated to use the advanced features and the higher price, dstwo is the choice.

if your 3ds or 3ds xl is on V4.1 to V4.5. you even can play a card to play 3ds games. this one http://www.dsflashcart.com/r4i-gold-...3ds-p-286.html
Do yourself a favor, don't buy crappy flashcarts.

So because I have a 3DS V6.3.0-12, I won't be able to play 3D games ever? I just bought a r4i gold 3ds card from your site a week ago. Do I need to do the system update also? I'm assuming I need a micro SD card too, what's the maximum capacity I can get? Why do the flashcarts die? How long do it take to receive the card in the mail?
    Thanks

Mine took 2 weeks for me to get my r4i gold. It says that it supports up to 32gb micro sd cards. I am using an 8 and that is plenty of space. You shouldn't have to do a system update it should work fine with legacy firmware.

Not sure if it helps, but the ds games I have all are in the range of 8 to 32 mb each. Not sure about 3ds games.

My biggest DS game is 128mb, I've read somewhere that 3DS games range from 1 to 4gb but I can't say if that's true or not. 4gb sounds a bit high IMO but again, I can't say.

If I spelled something wrong, I'll just blame it on auto-correct

Based on what I recall from 3DS retail titles on eShop, the most that I have seen is about 1.5gig.

Though there have been many 3DS titles that have not been available to buy digitally, so the top max likely cannot be determined using this logic.
