My old copy of New Super Mario got ruined so I had to suck it up and buy a new one...the save file was created using a rom dump from the first game card on my AceKard 2i. Upon using NDS Backup Tool 3in1 to try restoring the save to the new card I see that it won't take. Wondering if the cards save battery (or whatever DS games use) was dead I created a save the old fashioned way and sure enough the card is able to remember saves. It is only when I try to restore it from my old save file that I can't make it work...it won't take.

Is there anything I can do? I've noticed the save file my AceKard generated and the one pulled from the actual game card are different sizes...if that matters.

Edit: Apparently there is no way to fix this, I've tried 4 different save "fixing" programs and all yield the same results. The old save backup just cannot be read by the new backup rom or it's official card. So I guess I'll have to beat the game again lol.
