    3DS Xl Ver 4.5.0-10u

Hello everyone im wondering if I can hack my 3ds xl on ver 4.5.0-10u. I just want to be able to play roms off my 3ds, DS and if possible 3DS more or so just for rom hacks of current pokemon games I own on the DS. Is this possible? Is there flash carts i think they're called for the 3ds on this version?
Dont know anything about the 3ds and hacking sorry if this is a dumb question.

You can't hack a 3DS, or any DS. But that's what flash carts are for. Get yourself a Supercard DSTwo (Best flash cart but expensive [$40]). If not, get yourself an r4i gold (Around $20). You can only order these online.
The DSTwo has a built in GBA emulator and SNES emulator. Plus real time saving (Like save states).
Get yourself a micro SD card along with your Flash cart (To store your stuff):
Amazon.com: Sandisk 16GB MicroSDHC Memory Card, Class 4: Electronics

That's pretty much all you need to know. If you ordered the DSTwo, it'll work on 3DS for sure.

I personally own a 3DS XL and a Supercard DSTwo, I ordered that same exact micro SD card for it, so you should be good. Just order the DSTwo from a trustful site. I ordered mine from flashcart .com

No, there's absolutely no possible way to load a 3DS rom file, although they're uploaded online.

The 3DS SD card is for the 3DS itself, not the flashcard. You need a MICRO SD, it goes inside the flash card.

Only reason to get a bigger SD (The one in your 3DS) is if you buy a lot of big Eshop games.

I already suggested one site, the one I ordered from. flashcart.com

You can only load DS, GBA, Super Nintendo, Gameboy/color, NES, Sega Genesis games on the DSTwo, nothing else. Plus the ability to load homebrew is another thing, you can watch movies, videos, play music, or display pictures with the Moonshell application.

Is it worth getting a DSTwo for your 3DS XL? YES ABSOLUTELY!
Just one thing to note. Never update your 3DS, unless you know that the new DSTwo firmware supports the latest 3DS firmware

It's a steal to buy the SD card I posted above from Amazon, 16 GB usually go for $20. You can fit a crapload of stuff on a 16 GB.
The max size for DS roms are 256 MB. But usually games are about 120 MB, or eve 64 MB. It's possible to trim the roms, saving space. But if you got a 16 GB, trimming isn't recommended as this may cause problems with specific games.
You'll be a happy person with the DSTwo, knowing that you got the top of the line DS flash cart. You won't find it for less than $40.

there is no flashcart that supports 3ds games, the supercard dstwo, r4i gold 3ds and other 3ds flashcarts are only able to run DS games on 3ds. usually supercard dstwo is recommened over the r4i card because it is more powerful (gba/snes emulator is acceptable), if u dont need the extra features, go for the r4i gold card.
