    R4i Question :)

I just want to know. Is the R4i-SDHC 3DS v4.4 compatible with the new 3DS system (4.5.0-10)?

Unfortunately it doesn't! Pretty much a bummer! They released a new card that is made just for the 3ds v4.5. You can see it here.

If you want a card with a built in Super Nintendo and Gameboy Advance emulator, go for a Supercard DSTwo.
Compatibility is great for DS games. They update their firmware often, bypassing 3DS firmware blocks

I didn't think my post would be read xD
DSTwo costs $40, but it's worth the pay. It has a built in CPU, which is why it has built in emulators. R$ has always been sold for cheap, which is why it became famous.
    I bought myself a 16 GB micro SD recently for $5 + $5 shipping. Now that's a steal

Yeah, SUpercard dstwo is the best flash cart and also the most expensive one. if you need the extra features such as play gba games, real time save, real time menu, slow motion, real time cheat and other awesome features, just go for a dstwo card. if you just need a card work on the 3DS V4.5.0-10, then just choose a wood r4i gold 3ds card.
Do yourself a favor, don't buy crappy flashcarts.

both r4i gold 3ds and supercard dstwo are compatible with the latest 3ds 1.4.5-10 firmware, if you want to emulate SNES or GBA games, get the supercard, otherwise, go for the r4i gold 3ds.

One thing to note about the built in emulators on the DSTwo. They aren't all that great. The gba emulator is a good standalone emulator, cuz there's no other GBA emulator out there. But the SNES emulator, you can get it with any flash cart, with almost the same compatibility. But with the built in CPU it does help on the SNES emulation a bit. If you really need these extra emulators, it's gonna cost you extra. But it's worth it!
The DSTwo team is still alive and still updating their firmware. I had to switch from Cyclo DS to DSTwo cuz their team stopped updating

The R4 is constantly getting blocked. Mine was only a couple of months old when it got blocked, only the latest revision hardware version of the card is still working on 3DS. (Mine is a Rev C, which is the latest, but apparently not the right version of Rev C which is even more frustrating.)

I have the DStwo as well and it's not blocked and is not going through multiple hardware revisions. It is updated frequently and has a history of bypassing blocks pretty much immediately after Nintendo releases an update.

So I would say go DStwo all the way.

If you get a DSTwo, get yourself this 16 GB from Amazon, cheapest deal I can find:
Amazon.com: Sandisk 16GB MicroSDHC Memory Card, Class 4: Electronics
