Not sure what you have done.
All is not lost though, switch to usb loading you will never need a disc again. Just softmod your wii using guide on here. Even though you have a chip softmodding will work (hybrid wii.)

I am not sure why you would use a drivekey as softmodding is so much easier and most people who have installed chips end up softmodding too. Sorry if that's no the answer you want.

Most people want to put a game in and play it. That is why someone would use a modchip. I have modded a lot of Wii's with chips and not one of them is currently using any type of soft mod. Some people are "simple" and don't have the smarts to not brick their Wii. (I have had to fix a lot of those too).
In answer to the original post, I have had minor issues with eject problems. Will it eject the disc if the drive isn't screwed down? Try to eject discs while the Wii is open. Original game and your backups.

Why use discs? With softmodding you dont need discs. I have 150 games sitting on my HD just waiting for me to press a button so your arguement does not stand.
I have also modded lots of wii's chip and soft and I have had a lot of chip users come back to me to get usb loading done.
Anyway it's nearly a new year so lets agree to not agree. Happy nearlly new year.

With regards to post, try taking out the drivekey (remember to ground yourself first.) Test eject. The reinstall the key again.

Not sure if this is the same issue as I had, but I officially have the dunce cap on as I ... *cough* had the chip connected the wrong way around so the DVD part was connected to the main board... That meant I couldn't eject as the DVD wasn't even spinning up...
